Preparing for Your Visit
Before you come to your appointment, make sure you have no COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever or chills, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, gastrointestinal symptoms). Face masks are encouraged when visiting an FCI clinic. Due to the sensitivity of our IVF care, we will still require masks in IVF areas at our Chicago River North and Highland Park offices.
FCI COVID Patient policy:
- Patients cannot come to any FCI facility for a period of 5 days after their positive test. Patients can return only if they are free from COVID symptoms. If a patient reports COVID symptoms, please inform then that a COVID test is indicated and direct them to f/u with their PCP. FCI no longer does COVID testing.
- Masking is required for a period of 10 days following a positive COVID test. Returning patients will be required to wear a mask while in the office.
- If patients test positive during the stimulation phase of their IVF/OI cycle, the cycle is cancelled.
- If patients test positive test during the prep phase of an IVF/FET/thaw cycle, the cycle timing may be adjusted to allow for the quarantine period to be completed during the prep phase. No monitoring or procedures can occur during the quarantine phase.
About the Vaccine
