A Baby Girl After Recurrent Miscarriage

Why do you want to share your story?
Sharing our rainbow baby story is healing therapy for me, and it may help others.

What was your infertility diagnosis?
Lack of progesterone – I was unable to carry the baby to term and had recurrent miscarriages.

What fertility treatment did you undergo?
I did diagnostic testing and was then given progesterone treatment.

What helped you get through treatment?
Faith, family, and friends. I kept telling myself, don’t quit, keep trying, keep going.

Can you tell us about your little miracle?
I had to be on progesterone before pregnancy and during pregnancy up to 12 weeks. We wanted to be surprised and didn’t want to know the gender until birth. We had a baby girl, named Sadie. I still find myself staring at her, that she is here, finally!

Why did you trust Fertility Centers of Illinois?
I felt in my gut and in my heart that I needed to see a specialist in Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Which physician treated you and what were your experiences with him/her?
Dr. Hirshfeld-Cytron – she gave us treatment options and monitored us closely. It gave us peace of mind.

What words of hope do you have for others?
Sometimes you just have to keep fighting to have a family, even if it comes easier for others.
