Why do you want to share your story?
I want to share out story to help other women and families going through a similar situation.
What led you to Fertility Centers of Illinois and why did you trust us?
I was referred by both my OB and fertility therapist after one D&C caused by a genetic condition that I am a carrier of.
How would you describe your experience with your physician?
I absolutely love Dr. Brian Kaplan! I honestly felt right at home with him, like my father was treating me and cared for me.
What helped you get through treatment?
Listening to every single direction the nurses at FCI gave me. What to eat/drink before, during, and after my treatments. Suggestions on exercise and sexual activity. I also saw a therapist weekly or bi-weekly who specializes in fertility who really helped me emotionally get through this difficult time.
What words of hope do you have for others?
Focus on what you can control like diet, exercise, and taking care of your body to make it the best home for your embryo. Even organizing your medications or calendar can help take your mind off infertility and get you excited about your treatments!
Tell us about your little miracle!
Our son Landon is now 5 months old and the best baby! Every day we look at him and think that our journey led us to this point, and to him. He is our beautiful rainbow baby and we are so fortunate for his health and happiness.
