LGBTQ Family Building

Your unique journey to parenthood

If you desire to be the biological parent of a child, whether you’re in a same-sex relationship or not, it’s important to consider several factors when you’re ready to start building your family.

Family Building for Gay Couples

If you decide surrogacy is the best option for you, one of the first steps is to decide whether someone you know will carry your child, or if you would like to work with a surrogacy agency.  If your treatment option requires egg donation you will be given access to explore our donor gallery.  Our nurses will work with you to begin the gestational carrier process (surrogacy) and/or egg donation process.

Since 2020, we have partnered with Gays With Kids, a resource for gay, bi, and trans men who want to build a family. Click here for more information.

Family Building for Lesbian Couples

Are you planning to give birth to a child, or is your partner?  The next step would be to meet with our experts to discuss treatment options. Our nurses will work with you to begin the sperm donation process for your treatment.

"We have such a special bond since (our son) is Dana's biological child, but yet I carried him through pregnancy."

- Kira and Dana, proud moms of sons Maverick and Ryker

Considering Adoption

Some couples decide that adopting an infant or older child is the perfect choice for them. A large number of domestic and international adoption agencies have been working successfully for many years with gay and lesbian parents. We offer, from time to time, events specific to adoption through our patient education program.
